Pakistan has been in war state for past many decades which affected
the lives of people due to lower limb loss. Moreover, advanced
prosthetic feet are imported and not manufactured in Pakistan
resulting in high costs and low customization. The purpose of this
project was to design, analyze and manufacture the prosthetic foot
in Pakistan. Several geometries of different designs of prosthetic feet
were designed and analyzed in Solid Works and ANSYS. Out of those,
three designs were finalized on the basis of cost, weight,
functionality, and maneuverability. Finally, these models of
prosthetic feet with energy return capabilities were designed,
analyzed and fabricated using different materials.

The purpose of this initiative is to serve
the people of Pakistan by
manufacturing the advanced prosthetic
feet with energy return capabilities in
Pakistan. All these feet are imported
from either Turkey or America which
results in high costs for even a low
functional prosthetic foot.
 This would also grow our local industry
and will help the economy of our
country as the import will be reduced.
